Presentation Guidelines
Open lecture (OL): (×1, 20 min & ×2, 40 min)
Plenary Keynote lecture (KL_ECO/BMB/BTE/TRS): General vision/disciplinary state-of-the-art (×17 speakers, 30 min)
Thematic Keynote lecture (KL): Focused topic keynote (×14 speakers for 16 Scientific Sessions, 30 min)
Featured talk (FT): (×38, 20 min including 3 min for Q/A)
Technical workshop (TW): (×2, 90 min)
Flash talks (F): (×18, 10 min including 2 min for Q/A)
Poster presentation (P): (~150)
Oral Presentation Guidelines
- The lecture room will be equipped with a PC and a video projector (16:9 format).
- Speakers are kindly requested to upload their presentation files (via USB memory stick, etc.) to the slide desk in the main meeting room no later than the evening before their scheduled session.
- Uploaded files will be made available on the lecture room computer.
- Speakers are encouraged to check their presentation on the available PC prior to their session.
- The presentations system supports only Microsoft Windows and the latest versions of standard presentation software.
- Mac users are strongly advised to save and bring their presentations in "pdf" format.
- Please note: It is not possible to use personal laptops or other devices.
Poster Guidelines
We have guidelines for you when preparing your poster presentation for the Extremophiles 2026 Conference in Seoul. Please note the following:
- Poster boards will accommodate A0 size portrait posters: height 1189 mm (46.8 inches), width 841 mm (33.1 inches). Please ensure that your display will fit within these parameters.
- Title should be in bold. Author’s affiliations and e-mail addresses should be included.
- Text: a poster should be easily readable from a distance of 1–2 meters, and 1.5 or 2 lines of spaces should be used between each line.
- Headings should be 25% larger than normal text. Bold or other colors may be used.
- Suggested font sizes are as follows (for the A0 format):
